When the Holy Spirit told me to go to Chicago, I had no doubt it was divine. He gave me the assignment and confirmed it along the way, but what I didn’t expect were the deeply personal surprises God had in store—signs of His love, presence, and sovereign hand on my life and marriage.
The Journey Begins: Atlanta’s Spiritual Cry

On the way to Chicago, we stopped in Atlanta and stayed downtown for a night. Though the city was bustling, my spirit was stirred. I discerned a deep disconnect—many locals still carried a beautiful, down-home mentality, but downtown no longer reflected their essence. They seemed spiritually displaced in their own city.
Atlanta needs our prayers. If you are an intercessor or Kingdom worker, please lift this city up. There is an urgent cry beneath its surface.

Nashville: Peaceful and Welcoming
We spent one night in Nashville’s Green Hills, and the atmosphere was entirely different. It was peaceful, affluent, and spiritually restful. God was refreshing us for what was to come.
A Divine Encounter in Chicago
As we finally arrived in Chicago, I was excited not only for the assignment, but also because it was our 7th wedding anniversary. My husband Michael was with me, and we had planned to celebrate. But God, as always, had His own beautiful plans.
We stopped at Jewel-Osco, a grocery store we had never visited before. My husband wanted to buy me roses, and as we walked to pick them out, I saw them—fuchsia pink hydrangeas, the exact same vibrant shade that showed up at our wedding seven years ago.
Originally, I had ordered light pink hydrangeas from Ecuador. But when the flowers arrived just two days before the wedding, they were a bold fuchsia. I was upset—until I realized God had chosen them. I didn’t have the money to fund my wedding, but the Lord provided everything and told me He would give me a dowry. He even chose the flowers.
So here we were, seven years later, walking into a random store in a city we didn’t plan to visit—and there were those same hydrangeas. A kiss from heaven. A reminder that our marriage was ordained by God Himself.
